There are a great number of arguments that render TU Ilmenau one of the leading universities in Germany particularly in the aforementioned disciplines. Prof. Jürgen Petzoldt (prorector at TU Ilmenau) emphasizes the importance of providing practical courses enabling the students to gain practical experience through internships and projects with local companies from the very beginnings of their academic career. This curricular approach provides a solid foundation for students to implement theoretical knowledge gained by working on real-life projects. At the same time, the students are involved in exciting research projects and work very closely in interdisciplinary teams gaining experience in using state-of-the-art software inter alia ERP System SAP or Digit Lab. This is what makes TU Ilmenau graduates perfectly prepared for the labor market and economic challenges of tomorrow.
