Erfurt - Qundis GmbH, a specialist producer of meters and measuring instruments to collect and evaluate energy and water consumption data has moved into the Erfurt goods traffic center (GVZ) where it will bring its two current operations, one of them in Baden-Württemberg, under one roof. The company is investing approximately EUR 13.8 million in its new factory and about 110 people are already working there.
Gotha - Australian company Kappstein GmbH has followed other internationals to choose Thuringia as a base. Kappstein is building both a head office and a production facility in Gotha, where it will soon be developing and producing drive technology for electric bicycles. Another company having chosen Gotha/Thuringia as a new location is the Swiss BASWA acoustic AG, a leading producer of acoustic insulation panels. Their panels are used in settings as diverse as the White House in Washington and prestigious universities, concert halls and museums around the world.
