Arnstadt - Aurangabad Electricals Ltd (AE), a member of India’s Bagla Group, is to invest approximately EUR 12 million in the construction of a new production facility in Arnstadt. The company plans to manufacture aluminium cases for turbo chargers, water and oil pumps at its new facility, employing around 40 people, beginning next year. Bagla Group is one of the largest automotive suppliers in western India. AE operates eight locations in India that supply OEMs such as VW, Daimler, GM, Fiat and Nissan.
Gera - buw Group, which operates around the world, opened a new service center in Gera in May. As service provider, buw Group handles customer communication for companies like RWE, Vodafone, Miele, Asstel, and Cortal Consors. The company plans to employ around 160 people at the new location by the end of the year, and is set to increase that number to 400 in the medium term.
Arnstadt - Bosch Group is planning to make voltage regulators for alternators at the ‘Erfurter Kreuz’ industrial park in Arnstadt in future. EUR 8.4 million is being invested in building a new factory for automotive electrical equipment. The 110 new employees expect to be starting work in late summer or autumn this year.
