- History: in 1893, the siblings Willi Viebahn and Anna Reim established a café with its own sweets production in the town of Schmalkalden (Thuringia); 1935: 350 employees, 500 products, three-shift operation. 1997: Move into the new production and administration building located at Floh-Seligenthal. On 5 February 2012, the Viba Nougat Experience World was openend in Schmalkalden (Nougat Allee 1, 98574 Schmalkalden). – Awards among others: Guinness record (the world's biggest nougat bar) in 2000; Packaging Prize "Golden OPPack Award" in December 2002; Entrepreneur Prize "Innovative Medium-Sized Companies 2004" in May 2004 awarded to Mr. Karl Heinz Einhäuser.
