Activities
The focus of the activities of TLM includes the following: - Licensing of broadcasters - Supervision of broadcasters and Internet service providers - Supervision of compliance with the protection of minors by Internet service providers - Development and promotion of a diverse commercial and non-commercial broadcasting landscape in Thuringia - Communication of media competence - Media research - Promotion of Thuringia as a media location - Promotion of terrestrial infrastructure and broadcasting projects

- TLM is a legally responsible and independent institution under public law. It has the right of self-administration. Its independence is an expression of the constitutional principle of the independence of broadcasting from the state. It consists of two bodies, the Director and the Assembly (body). TLM is subject to the legal supervision of the supreme state authority, which is exercised by the Thuringian State Chancellery. The TLM's budgetary and economic management is subject to the control of the Thuringian Court of Auditors. - The tasks of TLM are governed by the Thuringian State Media Act (ThürLMG), the State Media Treaty (MStV) and the State Treaty on the Protection of Minors in the Media (JMStV).
