- KIDS interactive was founded in 2007 by the two managing directors Joerg Michel and Daniel Brochwitz in Erfurt's Studiopark KinderMedienZentrum. KIDS interactive specialises in the interactive digital transfer of knowledge and develops apps, online offers with a focus on immersive technologies such as augmented reality and VR/XR. The expertise of KIDS interactive comes into play wherever complex knowledge is to be conveyed in a contemporary and appealing way using new technologies. The current 23-strong team, consisting of conception, screen design, animation as well as web and app development, works for large companies and organisations worldwide. With the help of agile project management methods, several teams have realised almost 1,000 interactive projects at a high conceptual and technical level since the company was founded. KIDS interactive is considered a pioneer in the field of "Augmented Reality" and has already received several awards. These include the "German Educational Media Award DIGITA" and the selection as "Innovator 2019" by the business magazine "brand eins" as one of the 20 most innovative companies in Germany. In 2020, KIDS interactive was awarded the Pedagogical Media Prize and the Children's Online Prize by the MDR Broadcasting Council. The augmented reality app WissenSWElt received the innovation prize for digital education "delina". In addition, the German Design Award and the RedDot Award for the multimedia for an augmented reality museum app. Since 2023, KIDS interactive can count itself among the Thuringian technology and world market leaders "Hidden Champions".
