Object
The object of the undertaking is the operation of an information centre on the possible contamination of weapons/ammunition areas and the maintenance of a database linked to a Geographical Information System (GIS). The Infodok collects and verifies all information on land loads as a result: - of acts of war, including dropping areas, - of arms production, the stockpiling of weapons in military and air force ammunition facilities, in particular the inadequate and unprofessional destruction of these stockpiles at the end of the war on the surrounding explosive and fire sites, - the historical and current military operation, such as troop and site training areas with their battle and other firing ranges, among others training sites of the Reichswehr, the Wehrmacht, the former western group of the troops, the NVA as well as the border troops of the GDR, - the former blockade of the former border. It also documents earlier find and large-scale clearing sites as well as, where accessible, the evacuationof of weapons carried out since 1990.
