The purpose is fulfilled above all by the new and further development of products, by new and further development of processes and systems as well as the rationalization of existing technologies, the education and training of experts, by scientific and theoretical-experimental investigations, by tasks of quality assurance and consulting either by own activity or by commissioning third parties. Furthermore, technology transfer is to be supported within the framework of public relations work and specialist events as well as by helping to shape the technical regulations and standards.
