Object

1. Strategic-programmatic research in the fields of natural and materials sciences; Establishment, operation and further development of large-scale facilities and scientific infrastructures for the national and international scientific community and to cooperate with science and industry in these research areas and to pass on the knowledge of society within the framework of technology transfer. 2. The Society enables metrology within the framework of statutory tasks of the Confederation. 3. The Company may assume other tasks in the field of research and technical development. 4. Society pursues only peaceful purposes. 5. As a member of the Hermann von Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres (HGF), the Society pursues long-term research and educational goals of the state and society and is involved in the financing process oriented towards these goals. 6. The Society promotes young scientists. 7. The results of the scientific work shall be published and made available to the public in an appropriate manner. 8. The Company is entitled to carry out all transactions that serve the company's purpose. In its activities, it submits to the "Public Corporate Governance Code (PCGK)" of the Confederation.
