- The performance centre combines application-oriented Fraunhofer research on signal acquisition and evaluation for various application areas, technical data protection and data security, AI methods and machine learning, as well as radio technology and sensor technology with basic research at TU Ilmenau in the fields of sensor technology, precision measurement technology and data-intensive engineer

- The performance centre InSignA is a cooperation of the Fraunhofer Institutes IDMT, IIS, IKTS, IOSB AST, IZFP and the Ilmenau University of Technology. The centre is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and by the Free State of Thuringia.
