Object

(a) the Community utilization of fruit and vegetables and other agricultural and horticultural products and the joint use of the necessary equipment and machinery; (b) ensuring planned production which is in line with demand, in particular in terms of quantity and quality; (c) promoting the concentration of the supply of fruit and vegetables and agricultural and horticultural products; (e) the provision of technical aids for the presentation and marketing of fruit and vegetables (and other agricultural and horticultural products; (f) the joint purchase of agricultural and horticultural supplies; (g) the joint use of agricultural and horticultural equipment and machinery; (h) the promotion of environmentally sound farming practices; cultivation techniques and waste management techniques, in particular for the protection of water, soil and landscape and for the preservation and/or promotion of biodiversity; (i) setting up or participating in an intervention fund; (j) setting up and exploiting operational funds financed by financial contributions from members; (k) renting and leasing movables and immovable property; (l) providing services to third parties. (3) The cooperative shall lay down the production and quality rules as well as the marketing and environmental protection regulations to be complied with in separate conditions, e.g. delivery regulations. (4) The extension of business operations to non-members is permitted. (5) The cooperative is authorized to create all facilities and to take measures necessary for the establishment of its economic purpose. It may acquire shareholdings in accordance with § 1 GenG.
